June 20, 2009 ~ Rachel and Brian were married in Westlake at the St. Ladislas Catholic Church with a reception following at Pier W in Lakewood. We started off the day at the truly fabulous Zen Metro Spa in Cleveland. I wanted the light fixtures in there so bad, I actually pondered how I might try to buy them off the owners!! hehe [that's only 1/2 a joke] Though rain threatened all weekend on and off and the actual day of the wedding started off with a torrential downpour, it ended up being a truly beautiful weekend. The weather cleared just when we needed it to for outdoor pictures along Lake Erie and it was a wedding weekend I will never forget.

I really enjoyed: getting to know new parts of Cleveland I’d not yet been to, the bagpiper at the ceremony, the color scheme [2 of my favorite colors - pink & green], the abundant natural light in the church, the area of Lake Erie around Pier W [when you looked down, the cove to the right of the restaurant looked like something out of "Pirates of the Caribbean" - no joke], the food at Pier W [I cannot overestimate how AWESOME it was], shooting with a bottle of Cristal and such a GORGEOUS couple in the wine cellar at Pier W, the pair of steel drummers that performed at the end of the reception on Pier W’s patio and riding in the Rocket Car at the end of the day…

Rachel, I am so glad I met you at Erin’s wedding. Thank you for the privilege of photographing your special day, it was a really great experience!
