What is Industrial Automation?

You probably heard the term industrial automation, but what exactly is this? This term is basically the automation of the industries today in which robotic and digital devices are used to complete any manufacturing tasks. This automation is increasingly used in the manufacturing process. There are several benefits of the automation in the industries such as the ability to handle repetitive routine or tasks in a quick and efficient manner. They are robust enough even to the working conditions not suitable for humans.
One of the major advantage or benefits of the automation is the savings incurred by the owners especially in terms of healthcare costs, paid leaves, time of vacations and other benefits of the employee benefits. Although automation will be expensive in the start, the return of investment will be fast enough for the investor to recover his investment and eventually profit from it. Think about this, with human work force, you have to hire lots of employees in order for the manufacturing process run in 24 hours; however, with the robotic and other machines, you will only need few people to do all the job – they will only operate and maintain the machine and make sure that these are in good working conditions.
